After graduating from Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School, Sine participated in the AFS Intercultural Exchange Programme and attended high school in Venezuela. She then studied International Relations at Bilkent University. Sine served as an editor at Notos Kitap and worked at the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, before enrolling in the Cultural Management Master's Programme at Istanbul Bilgi University, where she also worked as a research assistant. In 2010, her debut book "Burası Tekin Değil" was published. She founded Maumau in 2012, which operates in many areas of culture and arts, focusing primarily on visual artist programmes. The next year, she received the Sait Faik Story Award for her second book, "Bazen Hayat." She has curated and organized numerous exhibitions, as well as contributed text-based works to exhibitions by artists like Fulya Çetin and Cansu Gürsu. In 2017, her third book "Titmouse (Baştankara)" won the European Union Literature Prize. Since the publication of her latest book "Kopuk" in 2021, she has primarily focused on artist representation and collector relations at maumau.
Born in Ankara, Sezgi began her career as a Social Responsibility Specialist at a GSM operator, implementing entrepreneurship, education, and art projects in partnership with organizations such as TOG, TEGV, İKSV. She has managed projects in media relations, event management, sponsorship, and brand management. Sezgi was part of the team that established the Corporate Communications Department at the established organization Şişecam. She has worked as a Corporate Communications Manager for public institutions and tech production companies. She has also managed the content and organization for multinational programs like Design Week Turkey, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week, Brand Turkey, and Export Week, carried out in public-private partnerships. She currently serves as the manager of the Creative Industries Platform at Kadir Has University, as well as being in charge of communications at maumau.
